Newman Catholic College has been master planned for a contemporary, twenty-first century education, multi-level vertical design, to be constructed in four stages over a 10-year period. Stage 1 construction will take place in 2021 to accommodate Year 7 in 2022 and Years 7 and 8 in 2023. Newman Catholic College will reach Year 12 in 2027.
New schools and colleges are built in stages to meet funding requirements. This sometimes necessitates the provision of temporary facilities in classroom areas that are then converted to their permanent use as the staged development progresses. When complete, Newman Catholic College will have 45 classroom spaces comprising 24 general learning area classrooms and 21 specialist teaching spaces.
